WHO is stepping it up!

Who exactly you may ask..?! The World Health Organization (WHO) are set to make some recommendations in regards to cannabis on the world stage! Here is a list of what they’ve been reported to propose:

1. Remove whole plant marijuana and cannabis resin from Schedule IV of the “Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961” but leave them on Schedule 1 of that treaty. (Schedule 1 drugs are relatively safe and Schedule IV are most heavily controlled under int’l law)

2. Place cannabis extracts and tinctures containing THC in Schedule III OG the Single Convention

3. Remove THC and its’ isomers completely from the 1972 Protocol to the Single Convention. This protocol is really a treaty that requires states to enforce laws on their books against cannabis cultivation.

4. Clarify that CBD focused preparations (less than .2% THC) are not under int’l control at all!

This would declassify marijuana from the likes of heroin and fentanyl. But note this will not allow trade of cannabis, like coffee or tobacco! If these recommendations are actually adopted by the UN, this will have a huge impact on the various controls and stigmas of cannabis on the world stage!
